Loop In: Share Events · Effective October 13, 2026
Loop In: Share Events (“Loop In,” “the app”) is published by Mark Alberto, doing business as HandyApps (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what information Loop In uses, why, and the choices you have. We built Loop In to do one job — turn a sentence into a calendar event and send the invites — and we only use your information for that.
1. Information Loop In uses
Your Google account
When you sign in with Google, Loop In receives your name, email address, and profile picture, plus permission to manage events on the Google calendars you own (the calendar.events.owned permission). Your sign-in is stored securely on your device by Google's sign-in software. We use your name and email only to show which account you're signed in with and to confirm requests to our server come from you.
Your Google Calendar
Loop In uses calendar access only to:
- create events you review and send, including the guests and alerts you choose (Google then emails invitations to those guests);
- list the events Loop In created, so you can see them in the app — Loop In marks its events with a private label and does not read your other events;
- hide or restore an event in Loop In's list, or cancel an event when you ask.
These requests go directly from your device to Google. Your calendar events are not sent to or stored on our servers.
The event text you type or dictate
To understand your sentence, Loop In sends it to our server along with your device's current date and time zone, your default event length, and the names and email addresses of the people you've saved (so “invite Sam” can be matched to Sam's email). Our server passes this to Anthropic's Claude AI service, which returns the event details, and the result is sent back to your device. We do not store the text or the results. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use the data to train its models; it may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring as described in Anthropic's privacy policy.
Dictation uses your device's keyboard. Loop In does not access your microphone.
Your saved people and defaults
The people you save (names and email addresses), default alerts, notification times, and default event length are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account so they sync between your devices. We cannot access your iCloud data.
Notifications
Loop In's reminders are scheduled on your device. The times you choose for an event are saved as a private label on that event in your Google Calendar so your other devices can schedule them too.
Usage limits and server logs
To prevent abuse, our server may keep a count of how many events each account creates per month, identified by your Google account ID. These counts are deleted automatically after about 40 days. Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps standard technical logs, such as request times and error codes, for a short period; these do not include your event text.
2. How we share information
We share information only with the services needed to run Loop In, and only for that purpose:
- Google — sign-in and your calendar (Google Privacy Policy).
- Anthropic — understanding the event text (Anthropic Privacy Policy).
- Vercel — hosting our server (Vercel Privacy Policy).
- Apple — iCloud sync and notifications on your devices (Apple Privacy Policy).
- People you invite — they receive the event details you send them.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if required by law.
3. Google user data
Loop In's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide and improve Loop In's user-facing features described above. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not allow humans to read it except with your permission, for security purposes, or to comply with the law, and we do not use it to train AI models.
4. Your choices and deleting your data
- Delete Account (in Loop In → Settings) removes Loop In's access to your Google account and erases your saved people and defaults from your devices and iCloud. Events already on calendars stay there.
- You can remove Loop In's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
- You can turn Loop In notifications off in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Deleting the app removes its saved settings from that device. To also remove its Google access, use Delete Account first or remove it from your Google Account.
To ask about or request deletion of any information, email support@gethandyapps.com.
5. Security
Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Our AI service key is kept on our server and never stored in the app. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
6. Children
Loop In is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
