Common questions
It says “Calendar Access Needed” or “doesn't have permission to your Google Calendar.”
On Google's sign-in screen, the calendar permission box was left unchecked. Tap Grant Calendar Access (or Settings → Sign Out, then sign in again) and make sure every box is checked.
Google says “This app isn't verified.”
Loop In is completing Google's verification. Until then, tap Continue to sign in. Your information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
The person I invited didn't get the invitation.
Invitations are emailed by Google. Ask them to check their spam folder, and double-check the email address on the review screen. In the Events tab, tap the event to see who's invited and whether they've responded.
My invitee can't accept — they get an error.
Have them respond from the Google Calendar app or Gmail while signed in to the account the invite was sent to. Responding from a different email app or account can fail.
Loop In got the date or time wrong.
Everything on the review screen can be edited before you send. Phrases like “next Thursday at 3pm” work best. If something is consistently misread, email us an example.
My people and defaults aren't showing on my other device.
Both devices need to be signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID. In Loop In → Settings → Sync, check that iCloud says “Available.” Make a small change on one device, then reopen Loop In on the other.
I'm getting two reminders for the same event.
Loop In notifications and Google Calendar alerts are separate. If you use the Google Calendar app too, clear one set in Loop In → Settings.
What's the difference between “Remove” and “Cancel Event”?
Remove hides the event in Loop In only — it stays on everyone's calendar. Cancel Event deletes it and emails a cancellation to everyone invited. Removed events can be restored from the ⋯ menu → Show Removed Events.
How do I delete my account and data?
In Loop In → Settings, tap Delete Account. This removes Loop In's access to your Google account and erases your saved people and defaults. Events already on calendars stay there. See the Privacy Policy for details.
